After the JJC carnival event, we went to the church office for CNY Lantern making ! The teacher of the day was Aunty Patricia (Lady standing in the photo above). The row of lanterns you see in the photos were her makings ! It was a successful event organised.About 15 people turn up. I hope there will be more of such activities next time.
We were all divided into three tables. As our group (Youth) arrived first, Aunty Patricia taught us to make goldfish lanterns using Red packets! It was beautiful. Will try to post photos of my fishes later. There are many more designs, as shown above, which means that there was much more to learn from her.
Through this activity, one can tell that there are so much hidden talents in some of my friends here.I also get to learn from some of them like Trish, who is very focused and neat when it comes to craft making. Seng Wee, another friend is also very good in doing this kind of craft work, even though he is a guy !
The fun part about this lantern making is that out of these makings, I get to see different characters from different works.
