关怀方式
Artists : 陈汉玮&蔡礼莲
Music Composed by Jack Lim
Music Composed by : Jack Lim

INTERVIEW :
1. Hello Uncle Jack, it is my honor to interview you. You have been an influence to me , especially when I was a young girl. I remember you as being very cool, with your guitar. And I often wonder how the music can be played on the guitar when I was very young. Now that years have passed by and many things must have changed. Tell us and update us here, more about yourself: Your inspirations, the most critical moment of your life (besides about Kyle), your career , what you do now etc etc
I didn't know I could be of influence to anybody.. until Kyle was born. Here's some update of my whereabouts, and many found my job interesting and exciting (actually quite struggling at the beginning.. ;-P) i had been in this local (english) and regional (mandarin) music scene for about 12 years or so. Currently working in a local event & artiste management firm named Music & Movement (S) Pte Ltd, since the year 2001. We managed Artistes like Dick Lee, Najip Ali, Nathan Hartono, Ming Bridges, Annabelle Francis and so on. Representing Sandy Lam & Tracy Huang. And we used to managed Tanya Chua, Sheikh Haikel, Randall Tan too. I'm heading a music department, job scope is to oversee CD album productions and provide music or services to our event department. Music department consists of Music Publishing (Music Copyrights issue) & Music Licensing (albums for / from regional); and all others to do with music.
2. Why do you choose this career ? Tell us the interesting part of your job/ how your daily job is like.
Most of the time i'm collaborating with overseas music company for songs (marketing / 'selling' of music / songs); or A&R for new albums. I learned alot from the music production of Tanya Chua to Dick Lee's, Nathan to Ming's so on; which you might read my name (Jack Lim) in the sleeves as production co-ordinator or A&R Manager which is my true forte. Recently, i had done with "Feeling Good With Nathan Hartono" (Pop Jazz music) by Nathan who is only 16 y/o, released under Universal Music. And coming up (today dated as 29th Sept), a St.James Power Sttn- Dragonfly's Anniversary CD (in recording) penning to release mid of Oct.
3. Are you still writing songs ? Why/ why not ?
Yes still writing, but more instrumentals now. it might be becos i have more inspiration for classical feel at my age...not so pop now as i have a bunch of young people writing something more current for me to market them.
4. Describe to us how you really feel the moment Kyle was born.
Well, Kyle, he is really a big gift from Whitney. And I'm overwhelmed to have him!
Kyle : 5 months old !
5. What is Kyle's chinese name and what does the name means ? Who chose it ?
Kyle's Chinese name is 林良豫 pronounced as Lin Liang2 Yu4, it means 'Pleased'.
6. How is fatherhood/Kyle's birth a change to your life / your family's life ?
Yes, it was a big change in our life ever since he came to our life. It seems near to have a complete family now.
7. When you think of the word "FAMILY", what does it mean to you ?
FAMILY also means to share (+communications), to bear (+thick & low) and to care (+good and bad circumstances).
8. What do you remember about Win Nie during the times when she was young ?
Cute, chubby and obedient.
Win Nie (me) on the left and Uncle Jack Lim holding his guitar, during my 4 yrs old birthday celebration . It was taken at my grandmother's house where I used to hang out when my parents are working. Uncle Jack is 12 years my senior.
9. "Count your days aright" . Tell us what you think of this saying.
aright is the word, to live the days substantially; in quality as you could.
10. What is it that you would want people that you love to remember you as whenever they mention your name ?
10. "oh.. you mean Kyle's daddy!!" ;-))
